We are proud to announce that the article by Ewa Ilczuk (Jagiellonian University, ORCID: 0000-0001-9103-4000), Aleksandra Mykowska (Understanding Foundation, ORCID: 0009-0004-3232-1957) and Dorota Ziętek (independent researcher, ORCID: 0009-0000-2268-5467) entitled “How to encourage teachers to take care of their own well-being? Conclusions from the implementation of the Well-being at School Programme” was published in the renowned journal “Culture – Society – Education” (No. 1(25)/2024), published by Adam Mickiewicz University Scientific Publishing House in Poznań on the Pressto platform.
The article is the result of activities carried out as part of the “Well-being at School” project and presents the results of research on the effectiveness of a program supporting teachers in caring for their own mental health and mental resilience. The study involved 48 teachers – some of them participated in the program, and the rest constituted a comparison group. The analyses showed positive changes in teachers’ attitudes towards caring for their own well-being.
The publication is based on a multi-theoretical approach – including positive psychology, polyvagal theory and mindfulness practices – and provides practical conclusions to help design support programs for people working in professions at high risk of burnout.
