In connection with our teacher project “Well-being at school”, we had the opportunity to visit a primary school in Reykjavik, which is attended by 245 students aged 6-13. The school delighted us with its practical architectural solutions. Large spaces, professionally furnished classrooms, a comfortable teachers’ room to provide teachers with peace of mind during breaks from work. We really liked the school customs. Students walk around the school barefoot, so everyone is obliged to take off their shoes at the entrance. Visitors to the facility as well. A canteen in the form of a buffet, the kids put food on their own plates. You can choose from meat and vegetarian dishes and a lot of vegetables and fruits. On top of all this, the school staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The first impression is definitely a plus.
